Peer group for industry members from racialized backgrounds

Balancing work and life in the performing arts and entertainment can be challenging, and racialized industry professionals often face additional barriers.

Presented by The AFC and the Artists’ Health Centre, Exploring the Juggling Act is a peer group, designed for industry workers to connect, share experiences, and navigate career challenges in a welcoming, supportive space.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with others in the industry
  • Explore their experiences in a non-judgmental space
  • Share ideas and insights

This group is not:

  • One-on-one counselling
  • A crisis support group (call 911 in emergencies or 988 for crisis support)

Who is this for? Artists, technicians, creatives, and other entertainment industry workers from racialized backgrounds.

Sessions are facilitated by industry peers and focus on healing, growth, and confidence - not therapy, just community. Participation is flexible, and accessibility accommodations are available on request.
